It was Doncic's first-ever first-half triple-double and his 60th overall. In the process, he went past Larry Bird and is now in ninth place overall on the career list.
The Slovenian basketball player went into the final 90 seconds of the second quarter with 29 points, nine rebounds and nine assists. He grabbed a rebound with 1 minutes and 11 seconds left on the clock, after a missed free throw by Keonte George. With 59 seconds left in the period, he passed one inside to Dereck Lively II, whose dunk led to Doncic's 10th assist.
It was the first-ever 25-point first-half triple-double in NBA history. This is the second time in three games that Doncic has reached 40 points, and his fourth time overall this season.
