Nong-O To Return Against Nico Carrillo In Key Muay Thai Battle At ONE Friday Fights 46

The Thai legend will clash with the Scottish knockout artist on December 22 in Asia primetime.

ONE Friday Fights 46: Tawanchai vs. Superbon on December 22 keeps getting better and better.

Already headlined by a trio of massive World Title contests, the card will now include the return of former eight-time ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Hama, as he faces surging Scottish knockout artist Nico “King of the North” Carrillo.

Their crucial bantamweight Muay Thai showdown will air live in Asia primetime from the famed Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Boasting an incredible 265 career victories, the legendary Thai superstar won his first 10 fights in ONE, capturing and then repeatedly defending the bantamweight Muay Thai crown.

But this past April, the 37-year-old suffered a crushing knockout loss to current ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion Jonathan “The General” Haggerty at ONE Fight Night 9 on Prime Video.

Nong-O will now look to prove he is still a World Champion-caliber fighter and begin his climb toward a World Title rematch with Haggerty.

However, he will have to get past the dangerously talented Carrillo.

A former ISKA Muay Thai World Champion, “King of the North” arrived in ONE with no shortage of hype and immediately lived up to expectations.

The 25-year-old debuted in the world’s largest martial arts organization in April at ONE Friday Fights 13, scoring a spectacular stoppage of Furkan Karabag.

Two months later at ONE Friday Fights 22, Carrillo produced a highlight-reel knockout of perennial top contender “Elbow Zombie” Muangthai PK Saenchai.

Those finishes earned him the #5 ranking in ONE’s talent-laden bantamweight Muay Thai division and the biggest opportunity of his career against Nong-O.

Fans won’t want to miss a moment of this high-stakes matchup, as a win could propel either man to a coveted crack at 26 pounds of gold.

Stay tuned for more news and announcements about the stacked ONE Friday Fights 46, which features Tawanchai vs. Superbon, Joseph Lasiri vs. Prajanchai, and Anissa Meksen vs. Phetjeeja in World Title bouts.
