India opened the medal account at the Paris Olympics 2024 as star shooter Manu Bhaker clinched bronze in women’s 10m Air Pistol in Chateauroux, France on Sunday. Bhaker again rose to the occasion playing a starring role in India's second bronze win alongside Sarabjot Singh in the mixed team 10m air pistol event on Tuesday. On Thursday, Swapnil Kusale handed India a third bronze at the ongoing Games in the men's 50m 3P rifle event. India's Neeraj Chopra, men's hockey team and Aman Sehrawat added to the tally. As of August 11, Team India are outside top 50 with three bronze medals. India are currently 71st rank with five bronze and one silver medal.
