Indian shooter Rubina Francis showcased exceptional determination, securing seventh place in the women's 10m air pistol (SH1) qualification. She will now compete in the final event, scheduled for 6:15 PM IST.
Rubina Francis initially ranked 14th after the first series of 10 shots in the qualifying round, steadily climbed the leaderboard. She ultimately secured a spot in the eight-shooter final with a total score of 556, finishing in sixth place.

Francis has carved a niche in international para shooting. She clinched a gold medal at the World Shooting Para Sport Championships in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates in 2022 and was ranked number five by the International Shooting Sport Federation in 2021 in Women's 10m Air Pistol SH1 (World Shooting Para Sport Rankings). Prior to her Paris Paralympics appearance, Francis competed in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, where she finished seventh in both the final and qualifying round.

Each shooter will have two series of five shots, followed by an elimination round. In the elimination round, after every two shots, the shooter with the lowest cumulative score will be eliminated.
Rubina, representing India, is stationed at firing point B and has taken an early lead in the competition. Her first series of five shots was perfect, earning her a total score of 31.3.
Rubina is in top three with a total of 97.6 and stage 1 is almost completed. Aysel Ozgan is leading the table with 99.5 and Sareh Javanmardi of Iran is second.
Second series of Stage 2 and Rubina slips to fourth position with 8.7.
Rubina shoots a 9.8 and but still she stays 4th.
Rubina's score of 9.5 moves her up to third place. Meanwhile, Turkey's Aysegul Pehlivanlar drops from third to fifth after a disappointing shot of 7.5. Her total is after shot number 16 is 154.4.
Rubina maintains her bronze medal position, as her score of 9.2 surpasses Edon's 8.8.
And Rubina confirmed a bronze for India. She scores 9.2, while Aysel's 10.1 gives her a narrow 0.1-point lead heading into the final shot of the round. However, Aysel's subsequent 10.4 shot extends her lead over Rubina, who can only manage an 8.9.
