Avani capped off her gold-medal performance in 10m air rifle with a bronze in 50m rifle 3-positions.
Defending champion Avani shot a 625.8 to be placed behind Iryna Shchetnik, who broke the Paralympic Qualification Record with a score of 627.5. Mona Agarwal, the two-time World Cup gold medallist competing in her maiden Paralympics, shot 623.1.
SH1 category in shooting involves shooters who have movement affected in their arms, lower trunk, legs or have an absence of limbs.
The Para shooters are all in readiness in the women's 10m air rifle final (SH1) including India's Avani Lekhara and Mona Agarwal.
Avani finishes first series of five shots with a score of 51.8. She is 4th.
Mona is placed 5th with 51.2
There will be another series of five shots each before the beginning of the elimination round.
India's Avani Lekhara is second with 103.7 after series 2. Mona Agarwal is still trailing with 102.7.

Gold medal for Avani. Avani shoots 9.9. Lee hits 10.7. But in the final shot, Avani hit 10.5 and, Lee hits 6.8. That hands the gold to Avani.
Avani Lekhara finishes up with a score of 249.7, bettering her own Paralympic Record of 249.6 from Tokyo 2020. Moreover, she also becomes the first Indian woman to win two gold medals at Paralympics.
