The 31-year-old Ravi is no fledgling para-athlete, having represented the country in several World Championships and Para Asian Games in men's shot put F40. Ravi will be making his first Paralympic appearance in Paris.

Ravi had flown his career internationally with the full support of his family and won two silver medals in javelin throw and shot put at IWAS World Athletics Championship in Portugal. Later, he finished fifth in the 2023 World Para Athletics Championship held in Paris.

Finally, it was during the 2022 Asian Para Games in Hangzhou when he captured the breakthrough moment with a silver in men's shot put F40. Continuing this trend, he went on to win gold medals in javelin throw and shot put at both the IWAS World Games in Thailand and Khelo India Para Games in 2023.

His steady stream of successes was topped off with a fifth-place finish at the 2024 World Para Athletics Championships in Kobe, Japan-a performance good enough to book his ticket to the much-wanted Paris 2024 Paralympics.
