Nadal followed up his commanding win against familiar foe Dominic Thiem with another straight-sets victory, this time against Australia's Jason Kubler. While the tennis titan beat Thiem 7-5, 6-1 in the round of 32, he set aside Kubler 6-1, 6-2 in the round of 16.
