Regian Eersel Retains Lightweight Muay Thai Crown With 46-Second KO Of Dmitry Menshikov

The Surinamese superstar scored his 22nd straight win in the main event of ONE Fight Night 11.

Since 2019, Regian Eersel has trounced every lightweight striker that ONE Championship has put in front of him. And on June 9, he added another name to his impressive list of victories at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The two-sport king defended his ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Title for the second time by defeating Dmitry Menshikov in the main event of ONE Fight Night 11 on Prime Video.

In doing so, Eersel also scored his 22nd straight win – a streak that dates back seven years.

“The Immortal” needed just 46 seconds of the first round to score the walk-off KO, and it came in the form of a clipping left hook.

Eersel connected with the punch after Menshikov fired off a series of low kicks. In return, the Surinamese superstar switched stances from orthodox to southpaw and fired away.

The Russian challenger absorbed the shot and rolled backward. He did his best to get back up, but he couldn’t find his legs underneath him, and referee Olivier Coste stopped the action.

With his victory, the 30-year-old Eersel improved his record to 61-4, scored his 28th career knockout, and bagged a US$50,000 performance bonus from ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong as his legacy continues to grow.
