Twenty-year-old Hojlund, who joined the list of big-money signing Manchester United have made in recent years in the summer of 2023, has failed to score in all seven of his Premier League appearances at the time of writing. The Danish striker, however, has already found the net thrice in three games in the UEFA Champions League.
Manchester United believe one of Toney, Taremi, or Osimhen can help share the goal-scoring duties with Hojlund, allowing the youngster to settle into his new life in England with much more ease. However, fetching any of the said strikers won't be a straightforward task, with other European clubs circling to fix their own issues in the market.
Toney, as per reports, is drawing interest from both Chelsea and Arsenal but is likely to cost in the region between 80 to 100 million despite not appearing for Brentford so far this season. Osimhen, too, remains a hot commodity in the transfer market after a sensational season of leading Napoli to the title and could fetch a sum above the 100-million mark. Taremi, the most experienced of the three, could be a more affordable option, given he is in the final year of his contract at FC Porto but was previously the subject of interest from Italian giants AC Milan.
