SA Vs IND, 2nd ODI: South Africa Beat India By 7 Wickets, Seal Series 2-0 - Highlights

South Africa defeated India in the second ODI on Friday to seal the series with a match to go. After restricting the guests to a fighting total of 287/6, South Africa reached home in 48.1 overs and seven wickets in hand, thanks to Janneman Malan's 91 off 108 and Quinton de Kock's 78 off 66. Unbeaten 37 runs each from Aiden Markram and Rassie van der Dussen also played a crucial role in keeping India out of the game. Jasprit Bumrah bowled his heart out but lacked support from the other end as India faced yet another series loss to South Africa on the ongoing tour. Earlier, KL Rahul won the toss and India opted to bat first at Boland Park, Paarl. India found themselves at 64/2 at one stage before Rahul joined hands with Rishabh Pant to stitch 115 runs for the third wicket and took India out of hot waters. Once Rahul fell, Pant followed him as India lost a few more wickets to lose the plot. Shardul Thakur's unbeaten 40 towards the end helped India near the 300-run mark. De Kock's attack since the start of the chase never really gave the Indians to stand a chance. South Africa have won the game by 7 wickets. They dominated the game for the majority part and thoroughly outplayed India. With this win, they seal the series with a match to go.

End of 10 overs for Jasprit Bumrah. Another impressive performance from him but he lacked support from other bowlers. Apart from him, only Yuzvendra Chahal was economical, while every other Indian bowler has been expensive.

A well-tailored fifty for Janneman Malan, his third in ODI cricket. These types of innings often go unnoticed, but ask the Indian players and they will tell you how frustrating it has been for them. On one end, de Kock kept taking them to the cleaners, Janneman, on the other, kept hurting them with his ones, twos and occasional boundaries.

It has been South Africa's innings so far. Quinton de Kock has dominated since the start. He is unbeaten on 75 off 61 balls, while his partner Janneman Malan (45 off 59) is also nearing his fifty.

India have controlled the game a bit in the past two overs giving away just 6 runs, but only a wicket at this point in time could actually impact South Africa's morale.

India were tottering at 64/2 after 12.4 overs and it seemed that another middle-order failure was imminent but KL Rahul (55) and Rishabh Pant's (85) counterattack not only stitched 115 runs for the third wicket but made South Africa fail to control the run rate of India's innings.

Tabraiz Shamsi 2/57 had the best figures from the South African side, but Aiden Markram (1/34) and Lungi Ngidi (0/35) were equally impressive at crucial intervals in the game.

The medium-pacer bowled it down the leg side and de Kock was quick to wipe off the stumps before Venkatesh could take the crease after failing to play a shot on it.

India have been reduced to 207/5 as Tabraiz Shamsi catches Shreyas Iyer plumb in front of the stumps.

Shamsi appelaed confidently but umpire Adrian Holdstock thought otherwise. Temba Bavuma went for the review and it turned out to be a right call from the Proteas. Shamsi screamed as the big screen showed that Shreyas was out.
