The rising India star reflected on the year gone by and also shared his handwritten New Year resolutions for the past year in a social media post.

Shubman's list of resolutions for 2023 included scoring the most centuries for India, winning the Orange Cap in the Indian Premier League and winning the ODI World Cup trophy for India. "Make my family happy" and "Be less hard on myself" were a couple of personal goals for the 24-year-old.

"Exactly a year ago, I put it out into the universe. With 2023 coming to an end, the year has been full of experiences, some great fun and other great learnings. The end of the year didn’t go as planned, but I can proudly say we came ever so close to our goals, giving everything we had," his post read.

"The coming year brings its own challenges and opportunities. Hopefully, we’ll get closer to our goals in 2024. I hope all of you find love, joy, and strength in everything you do," Shubman added. You can check out Shubman's Instagram post below.

The India top-order batter ended the year with seven tons, just one less than Virat Kohli, and won the Orange Cap while playing for Gujarat Titans. The dream to lift the ODI World Cup trophy could not be achieved, unfortunately as India lost to Australia at the final in Ahmedabad.
