England were too good for Pakistan. Despite fielding a second-string team, they handed Pakistan back-to-back defeats to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. Hasan Ali did manage his best, claiming a five-for, but Pakistan still ended up chasing 247, which eventually proved to be too big a target. The visitors were crushed by nine wickets in the first ODI. And in the second match, they lost by 52 runs in an encounter which was reduced to a 47-overs per side affairs at Lord's. For England, Saqib Mahmood continued to be impressive with the ball, while the likes of Lewis Gregory and Brydon Carse showcased their bench strength with all-round show.
