IND Vs SA, 2nd Test: Harsha Bhogle Recaps India's Win With Brilliant Tweet, But Michael Vaughan Will Not Like It

While hailing India's biggest Test win over South Africa, Harsha Bhogle silenced Michael Vaughan on the pitch talk with a brilliant tweet

Celebrated commentator and one of the most respected voices in cricket, Harsha Bhogle summed up India's massive win over South Africa on Sunday at Pune with a perfect tweet. But the message may not go down well with former England captain Michael Vaughan.

And here is why?

After Indian batsmen scored runs at will, for the second successive match, Vaughan claimed that "Test match cricket pitches in India are boring ... The first 3/4 days the contest is far too in favour of the Bat ... needs more action for the bowler."

It triggered a massive online debate with fans sharing their inputs.

But as it turned out, the Pune pitch remained true. And of course, the better team won, fair and square. Proteas top-order failed to emulate their counterparts, but the visiting tail-enders batted sensibly. Vernon Philander and Keshav Maharaj scored 44 and 37, and 72 and 22 runs respectively, while the only other batsman from the touring party to hit a fifty was skipper Faf du Plessis - 64 in the second innings.

Here's what Bhogle wrote in his tweet, "India's biggest win over South Africa. Been better at all aspects. And the series has been won, not on minefields, but on perfectly good tracks. This one in Pune was excellent."

After being asked to follow-on, South Africa were all-out for 189 in 67.2 overs just after the tea break.

The comprehensive victory, coming on the fourth day, has consolidated India's top position in the World Test Championship table. India now have 200 points in their kitty, a handsome 140 points away from nearest-rival New Zealand.

Competing in his 50th Test as captain, Virat Kohli has now led India to their 11th consecutive series at home, a world record.
