India demolished Sri Lanka to warm-up for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 semifinals. Asked to bowl, India got off a very good start with Jasprit Bumrah producing two back-to-back maiden overs. Sri Lanka were 55/4 inside 12th overs but a century from Angelo Mathews and 53 from Lahiru Thirimanne helped them to a fighting 264/7. The India openers, Rohit Sharma (103 off 94) and KL Rahul (111 off 118) made sure that their team ended the league stage with a win. With Australia losing to South Africa at Old Trafford, Manchester, Virat Kohli and his men finished top of the league table (IND - 15 points, AUS - 14) and will now face New Zealand in the first semifinal on Tuesday (July 9).
