Indians were in contention for medals in three disciplines -shooting, swimming and athletics - at Tokyo Paralympics on Wednesday. But as luck would have it, shooters had an underwhelming day, while swimmer Suyash Jadhav was disqualified from the race. In athletics Amit Saroha and Dharambir finished fifth and eighth, respectively. India were lying 34th with a haul of 10 medals so far - two gold, five silver and three bronze medals. China lead the standings with 147 medals which include 68 golds. Avani Lekhara, who shot India's first ever shooting gold medal at the Paralympics, wasn't able to repeat her show in the 10m air rifle mixed team event.
