Starting their second innings with 53 runs ahead, India extended their lead to 62 with nightwatchman Jasprit Bumrah (0 off 11) calming frayed nerves in the centre after opener Mayank Agarwal (5 off 21) lost his partner Prithvi Shaw (4 off 4). Earlier, the visitors bowled out Australia for 191. Ravichandran Ashwin (4/55) and Umesh Yadav (3/40) were the top wicket-takers for India.
