After being asked to bat first, the hosts never got going and were restricted to 148/6. Dhawan was the top-scorer with 41 but he consumed 42 balls. For Bangladesh, Shafiul and Aminul Islam took two wickets each. In reply, the tourists overhauled the target with three balls to spare to record their maiden win against India in nine T20I meetings.
