Bangladesh lost five matches on the trot as New Zealand took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the T20 International series with a resounding 28-run win (DLS Method) in the second match on Tuesday at McLean Park, Napier. In a rain-affected match, Bangladesh won the toss and put New Zealand into bat first. The Kiwis were 173/5 in 17.5 when the rain stopped the play for the second time with a heavier downpour, thus forcing the officials to set a steep revised target of 170 runs in 16 overs. But not before some drama, involving match referee Jeff Crowe. Mohammad Naim (38) and Soumya Sarkar (51) briefly kept the visitors' hope alive, but it was too steep a target, and they crumbled. Kiwi middle-order batsman Glenn Phillips was the top-scorer with an unbeaten 58 off 31 balls. New Zealand have won the three-match ODI series 3-0, then beat The Tigers by 66 runs in the first T20I match. The third and final match is scheduled for Thursday (April 1) at Eden Park, Auckland. Bangladesh are yet to win a T20 match against New Zealand. Catch highlights and cricket scores of the second NZ vs BAN, T20I cricket match here:
