New Zealand produced a magnificent bowling performance to defeat India by 18 runs in a rain-affected World Cup semi-final on Wednesday. The Black Caps will face the winners of Thursday’s semi-final between England and Australia in Sunday’s final at Lord's. After opting to bat first, New Zealand finished on 239/8 with skipper Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor scoring half-centuries. Their bowling attack then turned the game around, taking three wickets in the first 19 balls with Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul all dismissed for one. However, India got themselves back in the game courtesy a superb 116-run seventh-wicket partnership between MS Dhoni (50) and Ravindra Jadeja (77). Once these two departed, India’s hopes were dashed and they were eventually bowled out for 221 with three balls remaining. Get highlights of India vs New Zealand here (SCORECARD | FULL COVERAGE)
