Chasing a daunting 377 for an unlikely victory, Sri Lanka managed to survive the last day losing just two wickets and settling for a draw against host West Indies in the second Test match at at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua. The visitors resumed from 29/0 with Lahiru Thirimanne and skipper Dimuth Karunaratne unbeaten on 17 and 11 respectively. Set a target of 377 runs in a minimum of 116 overs, skipper Dimuth Karunaratne and Lahiru Thirimanne added 101 runs for the first wicket to build a solid platform for their side. Karunaratne was out for 75 (176b, 9x4), while Thirimanne made 39 (114b 5x4). Oshada Fernando were batting on 66 along with Dinesh Chandimal on 10 as Sri Lanka batted to the safety of a draw.
