NZ Vs IND, 2nd Test: Embarrassing! Umpire Warns India Not To Confuse New Zealand Batsmen With Fake Call - WATCH

In an embarrassing moment during third day's play of the second Test match against New Zealand, India were warned by one of the umpires for making a fake call to confuse Kiwi openers

Facing a certain defeat and series whitewash against New Zealand, India needed miracles in Christchurch on Day 3 of the second Test. But nothing worked for India. They were dismissed for a meagre 124 runs in the second innings, thus leaving the Kiwis with a target of just 132.

Tom Latham and Tom Blundell gently negotiate the 'world's best bowling attack,' an Indian player tried to confuse the Kiwi openers with a street-smart play. By calling for two runs.

It happened off the second ball of the 4th over, bowled by Umesh Yadav. Latham played a glance shot to the leg side and gently took a single. While the Kiwis rotate the strike, an Indian fielder was heard saying 'two'.

Clearly not happy with the unsportsmanship, umpire Richard Kettleborough warned India captain Virat Kohli.

Watch it here:

Earlier, India's lower-order had suffered another familiar collapse with the last four wickets adding only 34 runs, as the team was all out for 124 in only 46 overs.
