The win helped the Proteas take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. They had also won the first match by 28 runs on Friday. Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka won the toss and opted to bat first. But the hosts could manage only 103 in 18.1 overs as Aiden Markram and Tabraiz Shamsi claimed three wickets each. Another spinner, Bjorn Fortuin took two. The visitors reached the target, with relative ease, in 14.1 overs. They lost only one wicket, that of Reeza Hendricks (18).
