Openers Imran Butt (43 off 88) and Abid Ali (56 off 95) handled with Zimbabwe bowlers brilliantly on Day 1 of their first Test match at Harare Sports Club, Harare Thursday. The visitors reduced the lead to 73 runs. Earlier, Zimbabwe won the toss and opted to bat first. But the decision backfired as Pakistan Shaheen Afridi (4/43) and Hasan Ali (4/53) showed their class. Nauman Ali took a wicket, while there was a run out too. Five others were clean bowled, showing everything that's wrong with Zimbabwean batsmen -- approach, technique... But debutant Roy Kaia was brilliant in his 94-ball 48. Pakistan were 103/0 in 30 overs. Catch Day 1 highlights of the first Test match between Zimbabwe and Pakistan here:
