Tour De France 2022: Tadej Pogacar Wins Stage Six To Take Yellow Jersey - In Pics

Two-time defending champion Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) of Slovenia produced a fascinating sprint finish to win Stage 6 (Binche to Longwy, 220 km) by some seven minutes on Thursday. Belgium's Wout van Aert, who began the day in yellow despite crashing during Stage 5, was caught 11km ahead of the finish. But the Team Jumbo–Visma rider still leads the points classification. Pogacar leads Neilson Powless (EF Education-EasyPost) in the overall standings by four seconds. Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo-Visma) is now in third at 31 seconds. Stage 7, from Tomblaine to La Planche des Belles Filles covering 176.5 km, will be a mountain stage.
