The US women's national football ended 2023 on a high, securing a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over China on Tuesday at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. This was their second win against China in three days. The visitors took the lead in first-half stoppage time thanks to a Shen Mengyu finish off a corner. But the dominant Americans found the winner in the 79th minute through Jaedyn Shaw after Sam Coffey had scored the equaliser in the 62nd minute with her first international goal.
