Shreyas Iyer Named In Mumbai Squad For Ranji Trophy Semifinal

Middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer was on Tuesday named in Mumbai's 16-member squad for the Ranji Trophy semifinal against Tamil Nadu starting on March 2, according to the PTI reports. Mumbai qualified for the semifinals after their quarterfinal clash against Baroda ended in a draw at the BKC Ground, with the 41-time champions making it to the final four on the basis of first-innings lead.

SAI National Centres Of Excellence To Induct 200 Para Athletes

Aimed at promoting inclusivity and providing specialised training to para-athletes in the country, the government has decided to induct 200 such athletes, including 97 women, across 10 disciplines in the SAI National Centres of Excellence, Sports Anurag Singh Thakur announced on Tuesday. Out of 200 athletes, 68 (35 males, 33 females) will be archers and 36 (18, 18) will be in athletics.

Opting to field, RCB restricted Gujarat to a lowly 107 for 7 and then overhauled the target with ease, scoring 110 for 2 in 12.3 overs at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
