Zaman, who recently made his ODI debut for Pakistan in Asia Cup 2023, was brought back into the attack in the 13th over of the match when Melbourne Stars were 99 for 2 and Glenn Maxwell was playing on 30 runs in 25 balls. With his second delivery, he smashed the wickets with an unplayable yorker, surprising the batter.
Hilton Cartwright was dismissed by a yorker on the last delivery of the 17th over. Zaman is known for his sling action and continuous yorker bowling in the shortest format.
Melbourne Stars set a 173-run target for Sydney Thunder after batting first, which Thunders achieved with five wickets and 10 balls remaining. Zaman Khan took three wickets in the match dismissing Jonathan Merlo as his third wicket and conceded just 24 runs in his four overs.
