Actor Upendra Limaye who played the role of Freddy Patil in ‘Animal’ has recently spoken up about his experience of working with Ranbir Kapoor. The veteran actor praised his co-star and also said that he has been a fan of him since ‘Rockstar.’
Speaking to Pinkvilla, Upendra Limaye talked about sharing screen space with Ranbir Kapoor. He called the experience nothing short of fantastic. He said, “In my first meeting I told (Ranbir) ke 'you are one of the best superstar. I'm a huge fan of yours. It is not because you are a star. It is because you are a fantabulous actor.’ Main 'Rockstar' se unka fan hoon. And there are very few stars who are good actors and he is top of them.”
He also talked about the scene where he exchanged underwear with Ranbir. He said that he was initially apprehensive of doing the scene and he had expressed this to Sandeep Reddy Vanga when the script was narrated to him. Vanga assured him that the scene would be justified, and it was not going to be vulgar. When Limaye saw that Ranbir was convinced by the scene, he heaved a sigh of relief. He mentioned how many actors would have said no to the scene and only a handful would have agreed. He said Ranbir was one of the few who would agree to it.
In the same interview, Limaye said that he has no idea about the sequel of ‘Animal.’ But he is willing to work with Vanga. He said, “Toh whether it is one sequence, one scene, kuch bhi ho wo karne mein mazza aayega. Dekho abhi teen din ka kaam hai, I’m receiving feedback like anything, never before like from all over the globe, toh it is always fun working with such interesting director.”
‘Animal’ has worked well at the box office. The movie has overtaken ‘Gadar 2’ in terms of box office collection.
