‘Animal’ Box Office Collection Day 10: Ranbir Kapoor’s Film Collects Rs 35 Crore, Crosses Rs 430 Crore In India

The film, set amid a violent world, showcases a troubled relationship between Ranbir Kapoor and his father Anil Kapoor's character.

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, ‘Animal’, starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead, released in theatres on December 1. Now as per industry tracker Sacnilk.com, the film has collected over Rs 430 crore in India by Sunday. It also stars Rashmika Mandana, Bobby Deol, and Anil Kapoor in lead roles along with Triptii Dimri, Shakti Kapoor and Prem Chopra in key roles.

According to Sacnilk.com, the film has earned Rs 337.58 crore [Hindi: ₹300.81 crore; Telugu: ₹33.45 crore; Tamil: ₹2.73 crore; Kannada: ₹52 lakh; Malayalam: ₹7 lakh] in its first week. On day eight, the film made Rs 22.95 crore [Hindi: ₹21.56 crore; Telugu: ₹1.22 crore; Tamil: ₹15 lakh; Kannada: ₹1 lakh; Malayalam: ₹1lakh].

‘Animal’ followed it up by earning ₹34.74 crore [Hindi: ₹32.47 crore; Telugu: ₹2 crore; Tamil: ₹25 lakh; Kannada: ₹1 lakh; Malayalam: ₹1lakh] on day nine. Finally, on day ten of its release, the film earned over Rs 35.02 crore nett in India for all languages, taking the overall domestic collections of the film to Rs 430.29 crore in India.

As for its global collection, the film has raked in Rs 660 crore at the worldwide gross box office in nine days, as mentioned by the makers on Sunday. Production house T-Series shared the collection update of ‘Animal’ on X, and wrote, "#Animal Roars Louder.

‘Animal’ was released in theatres in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.

The film is set against the backdrop of a troubled relationship between Ranbir's Ranvijay Singh and his father Balbir Singh, played by Anil Kapoor. Despite its successful run in cinema halls, the film has been lashed out by a section of critics and viewers for its misogynistic and graphically violent content. Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar's T-Series, Murad Khetani's Cine1 Studios and Pranay Reddy Vanga's Bhadrakali Pictures, the film is directed and edited by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

Rashmika, meanwhile, recently shared some behind-the-scenes pictures, and wrote about her character, "Gitanjali..If I were to describe her in a sentence ...it would be the only force at home holding her family together. She is pure, real, unfiltered, strong and raw.. At times as an actor, I would question some of Gitanjali's actions.. And I remember my director telling me - this was their story..Ranvijay's & Gitanjali's.. it was their love and passion, their families and their lives - this is who they are.."

Rashmika played Ranbir’s wife in the film.
