'Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom' was released in India on December 21. Like the previous one, this time the buzz was less. Also, the makers did less promotions for the movie. In India, the Jason Momoa starrer is having a face-off with two mega movies- Rukh Khan's 'Dunki' (released on December 21) and Prabhas' 'Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire' that hit the screens today, on December 22. Both films have occupied a maximum number of screens in India due to which 'Aquaman 2' has been affected.

As per reports, 'Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom's regional versions didn’t get a certificate in time from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). So, the dubbed versions have been delayed now.

“It’s confirmed. Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom won’t have a release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on December 21. This is because the CBFC officials are yet to watch the film,'' a trade source told Bollywood Hungama.

The source added, “Warner Bros had applied for the certification a month in advance. Yet, the CBFC’s committees didn’t watch all versions. The English version was seen just a few days ago and the certificate was handed over to the studio yesterday. The studio tried its best to request the CBFC members to certify the regional versions but they didn’t.”

On when the Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions will be released, the source told the portal, “If the CBFC members watch the dubbed versions on December 21, then Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom’s regional versions will be released on Friday, December 22. If they see the film on December 22, then Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom will get a release only on Saturday, December 23.”

Also, we spoke to trade experts on the box prediction of 'Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom'. Experts said that it won't be minting more than Rs 2-3 crore on Day 1 at the box office.

The DC superhero film also stars Patrick Wilson, Amber Heard, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, among others.
