Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Dunki' is set to release in cinemas this Friday. Ahead of the release, actor Vikram Kochhar who is also a part of the ensemble cast talked about the experience he had when he visited Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat. The actor talked about the tight security at the residence and drew parallels with the security at an airport.
Speaking to Showsha, Vikram said, “I was starstruck to see Shah Rukh Khan. He called us to his house, to Mannat, when we were going to meet him for the first time. The house is amazing, and we went into the lift; there were a lot of security checks. There’s a huge hall, a big entrance, lobby, then after that, it was just like an airport security kind of a thing…or the one you do when you enter inside a five-star hotel. Everything gets scanned.”
Kochhar talked about how Khan created a comfortable atmosphere for all the actors. He marveled at how he was open to suggestions and discussions. He was also open to trying the different approaches that were suggested by the other co-actors. Previously, Vicky Kaushal had also said similar things about his experience with Shah Rukh Khan on 'Koffee With Karan Season 8'.
Vikram Kochhar recalled that he met Shah Rukh Khan when he had just woken up. He added, “You go up to his room, and he’s so humble and he’s so genuine. He was like ‘I have just woken up; I woke up slightly late so let’s do it. What do you think about the script and let’s start reading it.’” He also talked about how the actor was friendly with everyone on the set.
'Dunki' also stars Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu, and Boman Irani in lead roles.
