'Gadar 2' that released in theatres on August 11 is currently having a golden run at the box office. It has crossed Rs 500 crore mark on Sunday, Day 24 at the domestic box office. With this, it has become the fastest Indian film to enter the Rs 500 crore club. The Anil Sharma directorial stars Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel who have reprised their iconic roles of Tara Singh and Sakina. It also stars Utkarsh Sharma, Simratt Kaur Randhawa and Manish Wadhwa in pivotal roles.
As per Sacnilk.com, the film earned Rs 8.50 crore nett on Sunday. 'Gadar 2' has now joined 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion' and Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan'. It is the fastest among all three movies to earn Rs 500 crore in just 24 days. 'Pathaan' entered Rs 500 crore club in 28 days and 'Baahubali 2' in 34 days.
Meanwhile, the Sunny Deol starrer has also crossed Rs 650 crore at the international box office. It has beaten 'Baahubali' which had scored Rs 650 crore worldwide in 2015. 'Gadar 2' has also become the 10th highest-grossing Indian movie of all time.
On Saturday, Sunny threw a grand bash on 'Gadar 2' success. Stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgn and Kajol among others were present. Also, Kiara Advani, Sidharth Malhotra, Kartik Aaryan, Sara Ali Khan, and Kriti Sanon attended the bash. The highlight of the party was the hug that Sunny and Shah Rukh shared. They buried their long feud as they shared a rare hug.
