Sunny Deol starrer 'Gadar 2' that released on August 11 is having a golden run at the box office. The movie entered the Rs 300 crore club on its second Friday. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, the Anil Sharma directorial earned nearly Rs 20 crore at the domestic box office on its eighth day.
'Gadar 2' has minted Rs 19.50 crore nett in India on its eighth day. It has surpassed the Rs 300 crore mark as it raked in Rs 304.13 crore at the domestic box office.
Earlier, while talking about the film's success, Sunny said, "I was quite stressed before the release of the movie. When the movie was released, I cried and laughed the entire night. My father was around and he saw me. I told him, 'I have not had alcohol. Main khush aa main ki kara (I am happy, what can I do)'."
'Gadar 2' is the sequel to the 2001 blockbuster 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha'. In the first part, Sunny played the role of Tara Singh, a truck driver, while Ameesha Patel played his wife Sakeena. In the sequel, they reprised their roles. The movie also features Utkarsh Sharma, Simratt Kaur Randhawa and Manish Wadhwa in pivotal roles.
The film is set in Lahore during the year 1971 and Tara Singh crosses the border to rescue his son, who is in Pakistan. Sunny's dialogue to action and the songs, everything about the movie makes it worth watching.
