Telugu star Mahesh Babu on Wednesday unveiled the title of his upcoming film, on the occasion of his father Krishna’s birth anniversary. The film has been titled Guntur Kaaram. Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, the movie is slated to hit theatres on January 13, 2024.
The 64-second teaser immerses viewers in a world of adrenaline-fuelled action by Mahesh Babu. Offering a glimpse into the film’s fiery protagonist, aptly encapsulated by the tagline “highly inflammable”, the remaining moments showcase the irresistible mass appeal of Guntur Kaaram. The promo concludes by paying homage to legendary actor Krishna.
Earlier in the day, Mahesh unveiled the first look poster of the film. The actor was portrayed in a formidable manner, prepared for a fight even without any weapons, while his rivals’ minions gathered behind him, wielding deadly arms.
“Today is all the more special! This one’s for you Nanna ❤️❤️❤️,” the actor wrote while sharing the poster. Yesteryear Telugu superstar and Mahesh Babu’s father Krishna passed away in November last year.
Known for helming superhit films such as Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (2020), Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava (2018), S/O Satyamurthy (2015), and Attarintiki Daredi (2013), this is Trivikram Srinivas’ 12th directorial venture.
Produced by S Radha Krishna under the banner of Haarika & Hassine Creations, the film also stars Pooja Hegde, Sreeleela, Jagapathi Babu, Jayaram, Sunil, Ramya Krishna, and Prakash Raj.
While Thaman S has composed the songs for the movie, PS Vinod is heading the cinematography department, while Navin Nooli is in charge of editing.
