Advance bookings have started and reportedly, Shah Rukh has broken his own records as 'Jawan' has surpassed 'Pathaan' in terms of advance booking. The latter had sold out 1.17 lakh in advance bookings for day 1 in 24 hours. But will 'Jawan' be able to beat Prabhas' 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion' (Hindi)? Time will tell.
'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion' has the record for the highest advance ticket sales for the opening day selling 6.50 lakh tickets in the country.
For the unversed, the advance booking started on Friday, September 1 at 10 am all across the country after the trailer was unveiled on August 31. After the completion of 24 hours, 'Jawan' has surpassed 'Pathaan'. 'Pathaan' had sold 1.17 lakh tickets at national cinema chains for day 1 in the first 24 hours, as per trade analyst Nishit Shaw. Atlee's directorial has sold out 1.55 lakh tickets in 24 hours. The latest report states that it has sold 172,000 lakh tickets at national chains.
