Salman Khan returned to the theatres with his action entertainer 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' Helmed by Farhad Samji, it also stars an ensemble cast including Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Gill, Raghav Juyal, Jassie Gill, Palak Tiwari, Siddharth Nigam, Jagapathi Babu, Venkatesh, Vijender Singh.
After a dull start, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has taken a jump on the second day of its release. According to latest media reports, the film has collected around 24-26 crore on Day 2 at the domestic box office. With the latest numbers, its total collection now stands at 39.81-41.81 crore*. For the unversed, it opened to 15.81 crore at domestic theatres, reports koimoi.
Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has become Salman Khan’s second lowest opener after Dabangg which released in 2010 and opened at 14.50 crore. Salman Khan’s highest Eid opener till now has been Bharat which hit the screens in 2019 and has collected 42.30 crore on day 1.
Coming back, after earning around 39-41 crore in first two days of its release, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan will aim at a similar trendline on its third day i.e., Sunday in order to even reach closer to 100 crore mark.
Meanwhile, talking about worldwide figures, the Eid release already made $300,000 (around ₹24 lakhs) on its opening day, April 21 in US and Canadian theatres.
Hollywood trade analyst Gitesh Pandya reported on Twitter, "$300k opening day #boxoffice in US/Canada for new #SalmanKhan𓃵 film #KisiKaBhaiKisiKaJaan. 12 of Top 20 grossing thtrs are in Canada. Opening wknd for latest #Bollywood release will try to reach $1M mark. #KBKJ" The film has done well in Canada as 12 out of the 20 top grossing theatres are in the country. Gitesh also shares that Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is on track to earn $1 million on the first weekend.
Talking about Salman, the actor spent Eid at home with his family and later stepped out of his Bandra home in Mumbai to greet and wish his fans as well. The actor, who was joined by his father, screenwriter Salim Khan, had posted a picture of the massive crowd waiting for him outside his house on the road. He wrote on Twitter, "Aap sabhi ko Eid Mubarak! (Wish you all Eid Mubarak)"
