Koffee With Karan’, the famous chat show hosted by Karan Johar, made its 8th season debut with the gorgeous real-life couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. And as the show has returned, it’s a refreshing change and a good move for the opening couple, Deepika and Ranveer to keep the conversations so full of love and joy.

Throughout the episode, the couple didn’t miss the chance to address their love towards each other and kept space in the room for Karan Johar to talk about his battle with depression as well. One of the highlights from the show, was truly when Karan Johar opened up about not feeling his best, and Deepika Padukone comforted him with, “I am here for you Karan, whenever you need!”

Over the past few years, Karan Johar’s chat show along with providing entertainment, has also been targeted for the hate it sometimes brings, the comparisons and for putting people down. But it’s such a beautiful change that this new season’s latest episode starring Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh has done everything but that sort of toxicity. One of the many best moments that the audience also got to witness through this episode is how Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh sat next to each other, radiating power, love and gratitude just as they do in their real life.

There have been no toxic conversations, barely any unnecessary gossip, and definitely no double-meaning chats. Only love, smile, laughter, joy and happy tears. Will this be the change for this season and will we continue to see that in the coming seasons as well? Well, such double-meaning statements and gossipy chats were the staple for people watching this show. If the makers have decided to move away from that, it will be difficult to keep the audiences glued to the show, as people watch it to get such inside bitchy gossip of the film industry. If that itself is gone, then wouldn’t it just turn into a fluff promotional fest?

However, the show was still studded with lots of good moments which only goes on to show that one doesn’t need toxicity to grab eyeballs, but will this sustain in the long run?

As far as the couple goes, they were in top form and established themselves once again as a power couple that people can’t get enough of. We wish they stay together, and as Deepika said, the one vow they would renew is, “Continue doing what they’ve been doing.”

As far as Karan Johar’s show’s new direction goes, let’s wait and watch if all the other guests lined up will follow this new non-toxic, non-negative, filled-with-love sort of approach to the chat show or not. Will the audiences be content with just love or will they be craving for those inside gossips and double-meaning innuendos? Only time will tell.
