'Oppenheimer' Vs 'Barbie' Box Office Collection Day 10: Cillian Murphy Starrer Beats Margot Robbie-Ryan Gosling's Film

'Oppenheimer' and 'Barbie' released in theatres worldwide on July 21. Amidst controversies of both films, they have managed to perform well at the Indian box office. However, Christopher Nolan's film is doing well than Greta Gerwig directorial.

Cillian Murphy starrer 'Oppenheimer' and Margot Robbie-Ryan Gosling's film 'Barbie' locked horns in theatres on July 21. Both movies had created a lot of buzz prior to release. It has been ten days since the release and they are competing with each other at the box office. Christopher Nolan's movie opened with good figures of Rs 13.50 crore in India while Barbie made a decent opening of Rs 5 crore. 

As per a report in Sacnilk, 'Barbie' is still laying low as it has minted Rs 3.25 crore on Day 10 while 'Oppenheimer' has earned Rs 7.25 crore. So, the total BO collection of Greta's film is Rs 35.43 crore while 'Oppenheimer' is all set to enter the Rs 100 crore club as it has raked in Rs 92.05 crore. 

Nolan's film has faced severe backlash on social media for a sex scene in which Cillian Murphy reads out a Sanskrit quote from Bhagavad Gita (without showing the book's cover) to his partner. Even, Greta's film has also been criticised by a few celebs. 

Talking about the collection worldwide, 'Barbie' is doing better than 'Oppenheimer'. As per a report in Variety, the former has pocketed $93 million domestically from Friday to Sunday, bringing its North American earnings up to $351 million and its worldwide earnings up to $750 million after just over a week. While Cillian starrer raked in $46 million this weekend for a domestic box office total of $174 million for the two weeks and a total of $400 million for a global box office, as per the Hollywood Reporter.
