Prabhas' 'Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire' also starring Prithviraj Sukumaran released in theatres worldwide on December 22. It created a tsunami at the box office by earning Rs 90.7 crore net on Day 1. It is the first movie of 2023 to achieve this feat in theatres. Prashanth Neel's film is showing no signs of slowing down and it is minting moolah at the ticket windows.
On Day 4, 'Salaar' witnessed a drop in its collection as it raked in Rs 42.50 net in India in all languages as per a report in Sacnilk. On Day 2, the action drama earned Rs 56.35 crore, on Day 3, 'Salaar's box office collection was Rs 62.05 crore. So, the total box office collection of the Prabhas starrer stands at Rs 251. 60 crore.
On its fourth day of release, 'Salaar' had an overall 63.41% Telugu occupancy, 34.00% Malayalam occupancy, 23.28% Tamil occupancy, 45.48% Kannada occupancy and 35.15% Hindi occupancy in the theatres.
In three days, the film earned over Rs 400 crore and it is now inching closer to Rs 500 crore globally.
Produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner Hombale Films, 'Salaar' also stars Shruti Haasan, Eshwari Rao, Jagapathi Babu and Sriya Reddy among others in key roles. It was earlier scheduled to release on September 28.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Dunki' that hit the theatres on December 21 collected Rs 22.50 net (as per early estimates) on the Christmas holiday, on December 25. It is now inching closer to the Rs 150 crore club in India.
