'Salaar: Part 1-Ceasefire' is all set to hit the screens on December 22. It is Prashanth Neel's first film with Prabhas and the entire nation is waiting with bated breath to witness the mega movie on screen. The actioner also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran. 'Salaar' is about two friends played by Prabhas and Prithviraj.

Earlier, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Prashanth Neel said, "It is a story of two friends who become the biggest enemies. Friendship is the core emotion of the film. We are going to show this journey of friends over the course of two films."

As per a report in 123telugu.com, in an interview, Prithviraj said that he didn't expect that the 'KGF' director would make a film about two friends. He added, “I had a preconceived notion of what the film might be. But the script narration was a pleasant surprise for me. For all the spectacular action sequences, for all the huge set pieces, and everything, the film is ultimately a drama. The film works for me since drama is solid.”

Prithviraj also said that 'Salaar’s output is better than the script.

Meanwhile, 'Salaar' has got an 'A' certificate. During a chat with Prabhas and SS Rajamouli, Prashanth expressed his disappointment over it. He said, “This story is all about Deva and Vardha, Salaar is a drama at its core,” and added, “I’ve seen Telugu cinema for years now and the violence in my film is pale compared to that. The idea was never to make a film so violent it gets an A. But the guidelines have changed and the censor board asked me to make certain cuts. I got so quiet when they said that because I didn’t make a vulgar movie. The violence in the film is needed. I was disappointed, but Prabhas told me it’s okay.”

The film also stars Shruti Haasan and Jagapathi Babu in key roles.
