'Sam Bahadur' Box Office Day 5 Collection: Vicky Kaushal Starrer Remains Steady

'Sam Bahadur' starring Vicky Kaushal has remained steady on Day 5 of its release. The collections remained the same as it was on Monday, Day 4. The movie clashed with Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Animal'.

'Sam Bahadur' hit the theatres on December 1. The Meghna Gulzar directorial has remained steady on Day 5. 'Sam Bahadur's Day 5 collection was Rs 3.5 crore as per early estimates as reported by Sacnilk.com. On Monday, on Day 4, the Vicky Kaushal starrer collected the same amount which is Rs 3.50 crore. 

The same portal also stated that 'Sam Bahadur' recorded 21.86 percent Hindi occupancy on Tuesday. The film opened with Rs 6.25 crore and on its first Saturday it earned Rs 9 crore and witnessed a growth on Sunday as it raked in Rs 10.3 crore. 'Sam Bahadur' failed to pass the Monday test as it pocketed only Rs 3.5 crore at the box office. The total collection of the biopic stands at Rs 32.55 crore.

Day 1- Rs 6.25 crore

Day 2- Rs 9 crore

Day 3- Rs 10.3 crore

Day 4- Rs 3.50 crore

Day 5- Rs 3.50 crore (early estimates)

'Sam Bahadur' locked horns with Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal' which is inching closer to the Rs 300 crore mark in India despite polarising reactions. 

The film is based on the life of Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw who was fondly called Sam Bahadur. He led the Indian Army and got victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra play pivotal roles in the film. 

On Tuesday, a romantic track 'Itni Si Baat' from Sam Bahadur was released. It features Vicky Kaushal and Sanya Malhotra. The soulful number is crooned by Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam and lyrics are penned by Gulzar.

Sharing the song on his Instagram handle, Vicky wrote, “Thoda paagl, thoda bebaak, lekin sccaa hai Sam aur Silloo ka pyaar! Kuch aise huyi inki kahaani ki shuruat (Sam and Siloo's love is slightly crazy and slightly fearless. This is how their love story started)!”
