Tamil director, Ram, best known for ‘Katradhu Tamizh’ is back in the game with his new film that stars Nivin Pauly, Anjali, and Soori. The makers dropped the first glimpse of ‘Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai’ and this historical time-travel drama is set to keep the audience engaged.
The film revolves around an 8822-year-old man who is travelling across centuries to find his love. A vagabond, played by Nivin Pauly, is seen in tattered clothes and matted hair. He tells his co-passenger, played by Soori, about a woman who has captured his heart.
He tells him that when he saw the woman for the first time, she was covered from head to toe. He reveals that a gush of wind lifted the veil and he finally saw her face. The crowd worshipped the woman (played by Anjali) as their queen. When he tells the co-passenger about his age, he is in disbelief.
As the trailer progresses, he is seen with Anjali. Anjali is dressed in all white. He tells her that they were lovers in the past, but she does not believe him.

‘Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai’ has been written and directed by Ram. The film has been produced by Suresh Kamatchi. Yuvan Shankar Raja has worked on the music for the film. It is set to premiere at the Big Screen Competition at The International Film Festival, Rotterdam. Ram’s previous movie, ‘Peranbu’, starring Mammootty was acclaimed by the critics. Nivin Pauly was last seen in ‘Ramachandra Boss & Co’ which opened to mixed reviews from his fans and critics.
