Ever since her debut, Sanjana Sanghi has been winning the audience's hearts with her wide-ranging characters. From starting her career as a child artist to riding a bike in her upcoming film, Sanjana Sanghi has shown her range as an actress.
With each year Sanjana Sanghi keeps on experimenting with unique character choices for herself. And with 2023, audiences will yet again witness Sanjana Sanghi in a fierce avatar, this time riding a bullet in her upcoming film ‘Dhak Dhak’. A glimpse of the same was shared by the makers of the film early last year. Since then, fans are excited to watch their favourite actress ride a bike in her upcoming film.
So, before we get down to ‘Dhak Dhak’, let’s look back at some of the brave choices made by Sanjana over the past few years:
Mandy (‘Rockstar’)
From a nerd to someone who never could have dreamt of being on a big screen, Sanghi as Mandy was a surprise package for everyone in the Ranbir Kapoor starrer, Rockstar. Her performance was applauded, for showcasing her emotions so well on the big screen. It was pretty clear after Rockstar that the actress has a bright future and rightly so as Sanjana got her big debut with renowned director Mukesh Chhabra.
Katty (‘Fukrey Returns’)
Even though her character Katty in ‘Fukrey Returns’ was a small one, it was hilarious and left an impression in everyone’s minds. She showed every young actress that even with a small screen time, an actress can leave an impact in the audience’s minds. Her comic timing with Varun Sharma was too good to miss out on. We wouldn’t mind seeing a full-fledged spin off around Katty, as she was so fun to watch.
Kizie Basu (‘Dil Bechara’)
Sanjana made her debut with Mukesh Chhabra’s Dil Bechara and took the nation by storm with her performance, so much so that the original author of ‘Fault In Our Stars’, John Green sent her a personal message appreciating the portrayal of his original character so beautifully. Even though the film’s entire credit for success went to Sushant Singh Rajput’s brilliant portrayal, Sanjana also created an impact that many wouldn’t forget for ages.
Kavya (‘Rashtra Kavach OM’)
With Kavya, Sanjana made yet another brave choice of portraying an action heroine. With just being 2 films old, Sanjana’s choice of characters has certainly left a strong imprint in the mind of the audience. The film may have bombed badly at the box-office, but Sanjana’s bravery was evident even in that. She didn’t shy away from picking a film where the entire focus was on the male lead and the machoism around him. She took a risk, and that didn’t pay off in box-office returns, but definitely showed her fans that she is a risk-taker and doesn’t shy away from such characters.
