Here are some of our favourite Indian crime thriller shows that are sure to keep you at the edge of your seat, while you are left compelled to binge-watch the entire series!
‘Asur’ (Voot)
Welcome to your dark side, is a bold and intriguing show, that keeps you guessing about the culprit and his real motives as experience the first-of-its-kind crime thriller with an undertone of Indian mythology. Starring Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti, this must-watch series is streaming exclusively on Voot. The show ends on a cliffhanger and fans are eagerly awaiting the launch of the second season to finally unravel the mystery.
‘Mirzapur’ (Amazon Prime Video)
This crime thriller on Amazon Prime Video action crime thriller has achieved near cult status for its popular catchphrases and excellent performances by its entire cast which includes stalwarts such as Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, and Vikrant Massey. The series has already launched two successful seasons and fans now eagerly await season 3!
‘Sacred Games’ (Netflix)
Starring some of the biggest industry names, such as Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Radhika Apte, Luke Kenny, Pankaj Tripathi, Neeraj Kabi, and Kubbra Sait, Sacred Games was one of the first Indian OTT thriller series to gain immense love and popularity amongst the relatively new audience. Directed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane, the series is an adaptation of the widely appreciated book of the same name by Vikram Chandra. The show chronicles the exciting journey of an experienced, cynical police officer named Sartaj Singh (Saif) and an intelligence officer named Anjali Mathur (Radhika) to the centre of a mystery web built by the ruthless crime lord Ganesh Gaitonde (Nawazuddin).
‘Delhi Crime’ (Netflix)
This Netflix original is based on two real-life incidents that took place in the heart of the country – Delhi. 'Delhi Crime' showcases the inspiring journey of Shefali Shah, Rasika Dugal, and Tillotama Shome as they navigate the complicated world of crime, through their noteworthy performances. The series recently launched its second season which was received with much appreciation and excitement by ardent fans of this series.
‘Apharan’ (Voot)
A renowned cop encounters both personal and professional challenges as he pursues a fugitive criminal. The crime thriller by Ekta Kapoor and Jio Studios, chronicles the journey of Rudra as he embarks on a perilous quest to abduct criminal mastermind BBS. In the course of his pursuit, he confronts numerous criminals and even ends up crossing borders. The second season streaming on Voot has fans gushing over the spectacular performances and engaging storyline.
