India hosts Miss World pageant after 28 years
India is hosting the 71st Miss World pageant after a 28-year-long gap in Mumbai tonight, on March 9, 2024. Contestants from 115 countries are competing against each other to win the crown. Last year's winner, Miss World 2022, Karolina Bielawska of Poland will be crowning her successor at the grand event at the Jio World Centre in BKC, Mumbai. From India, 22-year-old Sini Shetty, winner of Miss India World, is representing the nation at the competition.
Karan Johar and Former Miss World Megan Young are co-hosting the Miss World 2024 pageant. Artists like Shaan, Neha Kakkar, and Tony Kakkar are performing at the finale.

While Aché Abrahams of Trinidad and Tobago won the Miss America and Caribbean title at the 71st Miss World 2024, Lesego Chombo of Botswana took home the Miss World Africa title.

Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic bagged the Miss Europe title, while Yasmin Azaytoun of Lebanon won the Miss World Asia and Oceania title at the Miss World 2024 event.
