Adam Harrison, the son of 'Pawn Stars' star Rick Harrison, has passed away due to an overdose. He was only 39.
The news of his death has been confirmed by his representative Laura Herlovich on Friday with the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The circumstances surrounding his death, including the time and location of the overdose, are still unknown. The Las Vegas Metro Police Department has commenced their investigation into the matter.
The news was first reported by TMZ and later confirmed by the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Herlovich told the latter on behalf of the Harrison's that, "Our family is extremely saddened by the death of Adam. We ask for privacy as we grieve his loss."
Adam was the second child of the 'Pawn Stars' celebrity Rick Harrison and his ex-wife, Kim. He had an elder brother, Corey Harrison. Rick has one more son, Jake, with his second wife, Tracy.
Adam Harrison, despite having reportedly worked at Gold & Silver Pawn before the series 'Pawn Stars' aired in 2009, never appeared on the unscripted show, which features Rick and Corey. Reports indicate that Adam, in recent times as well, was not associated with the pawn shop.
Although Corey and Jake frequently pop up on their father's social media handles, Adam maintained a low profile, so much that despite having an Instagram account, he hardly ever posted on it. It seems like the middle son kept his distance from both the pawn shop and the TV show.
As of now, more details about his death remain undisclosed.
