Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made her debut at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival on Thursday and her look had been the talk of the town lately. Not to miss, she has been attending the prestigious film festival for years, and this year, she was joined by her daughter Aaradhya. In an interview, Aishwarya was asked how she feels about bringing her daughter to Cannes.
Aishwarya told Film Companion that Aaradhya feels at home at Cannes, and said, “It’s really just about being together. It’s familiar to her. She knows everybody here. It’s really about reuniting with friends. It’s an experience that’s so familiar to her. She’s a lot like me in that sense, we’re people’s people. It begins with that. She loves the place, she loves the vibe. We haven’t ever discussed this, but I’m sure she gets the fact that this is really a film festival, it’s about the world of cinema.”
When asked what Aaradhya’s takeaway from the whole experience, the actress quipped, “Isn’t this a question that she should be answering? At some point in her life, I guess she will.”
She added that it is all ‘wonderful’ to see that Aaradhya has a ‘respect’ for the ‘amazing world of cinema’. “I’m sure it’s all getting soaked in,” she stated.
Aaradhya was born in 2011, and she even joined her mother Aishwarya at the premiere of ‘Ponniyin Selvan: II’ in Chennai recently.
