Actor, dancer and trained in martial arts, Akshay Bindra, who was previously seen in Color's TV show ‘Kuch Toh Hai’, Lionsgate play's ‘Hookups and Hiccups’ and Amazon Prime's ‘Four More Shots Please season 3’, is currently featuring in Amazon Prime's web show ‘Jee Karda’, starring alongside Tamannaah Bhatia, Aashim Gulati, Hussain Dalal, Anya Singh and others.
The actor gets candid about the kind of responses he is getting, his role and challenges of shooting intimate scenes. Akshay said, "I'm happy that people are finding my character funny and that I'm receiving positive feedback about my acting skills and screen presence. It's always encouraging to hear that people are enjoying my work, and I'm excited to keep working hard!
Akshay is seen playing Krish, a self-centred superstar who only thinks about his stardom. Speaking about how he got into the character, he said, "Well at first, I didn’t connect to him but when I started reading the script more and more, I started imagining that this will be true one day in my life as I play a character of a superstar. Minus the self Centred attitude. So I believed in it and the magic happened on screen."
Talking about the challenges of shooting intimate scenes, he said, "Well I did a show called ‘Four More Shots Please season 3’, so I was aware of the challenges. We had an Intimacy Coordinator on set who was keeping every small movement of actors on watch. But to be honest, I was very comfortable doing it because I had done it before and it’s all about breaking the Ice with your co actor. There are many methods to approach this kind of scene and I chose the reality as it was, that Preet is my love affair now and I'm into her so it came naturally. It’s all about an actors preparation, rest everything falls in place."
Describing his working experience with his co actors, he mentioned, "Mostly my scenes were with Anya singh who plays Preeti in the show. She is an absolute beauty and a chiller who is well prepared on set and no hang ups. On the other hand, there was a party scene in the show where I'm standing next to Tamannah, she was very sweet to everyone around including me. An amazing actor to work with. While Aashim, I have known each other since a long time as we both are from Delhi, we’ve chilled a lot so he is more like bro to me from the same town."
Sharing about his upcoming projects, he stated, "Suddenly I'm getting a lot of auditions for tv main leads, I'm still contemplating to take up a show or no."
