Ananya Panday is all everyone's been talking about since her debut at the Paris Haute Couture Week on the evening of January 22. The Bollywood actress walked the ramp for designer Rahul Mishra as he displayed his Couture Spring 2024 collection in Paris, titled 'Superheroes.'
Rahul Mishra styled the actress, now a fashion icon, in a captivating mini dress which had beautiful ethereal elements and a shimmering silhouette, which made her look chic and stylish, as she donned a short black strapless dress. What caught everyone's attention was the handcrafted couture circular sieve, which was adorned with intricately colourful motifs resembling the Tiger Moth, also known as Arctia Caja. This circled-sculpture, which Ananya was holding with her hands, showcased a motif of a black, gold, and white sequin dress embroidered on the mesh, which made it seem like she was wearing it. Surrounded by various colourful moth species, each wing's distinct pattern looked surreal because of the wonderful detailing, adding colours to the plain black dress she was actually wearing.
The ensemble reflected the designer's appreciation for nature and its beings, creating couture magic. With her hair elegantly tightly tied back in a sleek bun and kohl-laden eyes, Ananya confidently and stunningly walked down the ramp, with all eyes on her.
Of course, her debut at the Paris Fashion Week has stirred up the internet with support from fellow celebs, designers, and fans. Netizens congratulated Ananya in various comments sections. Stylist Tanya Ghavri also wrote, "Hello baby girl, welcome to the world of couture." Her dear friend Orry wrote, "Storming international runways." Digital creator Faridoon Shahryar wrote, "Ananya Panday makes history as the youngest Bollywood actress to represent an Indian designer-Rahul Mishra at the Paris Haute Couture Week."
Many fans also commented, "She is perfect for modeling." Another wrote, "FINALLY! I've been waiting for her to make her runway debut." While others commented good things about the way she walked. One even lauded Rahul Mishra, saying, "I'm literally obsessed with everything Rahul Mishra designs."
Rahul Mishra's collection has been inspired by the insect kingdom, including endangered species. The collection emphasized upon the importance of these 'superheroes' using fashion as a medium. It serves as a reminder to appreciate nature's beings, who have been there since time immemorial, and played an important role in building up the life we live today.
