Starting her career as VJ and then hosting several shows and then foraying into several Marathi and Hindi films, Anusha Dandekar has made a name for herself in the industry. She is a multi-talented star who believes in hard work and dedication in everything she does. Anusha has reunited with Mahesh Manjrekar for a Marathi film that is yet to be titled. She earlier starred in Mahesh's 'Viruddh' in 2005. She recently finished shooting the film.
Anusha told Outlook India, ''I really had a great time. It's another Marathi film and everyone on set, I mean all the co-stars, they were all just incredible. I have had the most incredible experience and it was just really something new challenge for me and I loved every minute of it.''
Asked if she faces difficulty in bagging projects for her accent, the diva said, ''I am lucky that I tweak it for me. But I think over time I am definitely working on it because I have a diction coach for Marathi. So, I am working on that constantly and I really enjoy challenges. So, if somebody wants to give me a role where I have to really work on an accent or something, I will do it because for me what's the point of doing your job if you are not going to put your 100 percent in it.''
She added, ''I think it's only a difficulty if you make it want. Before when I was a VJ, I was not working on anything else. But now I have really enjoyed it, I want to put my 100 % on working and improving on the acting part. So, you have to put in the work because everybody thinks that this industry, fame, lights and glamour all come at your doorstep. No, it doesn't. You really have to work hard.''
Dandekar further said, ''People think VJing is an easy job. I would say anybody to go on stage and speak for five minutes. No, it's not easy. But we work on it and sometimes it comes to you naturally. So, I think VJing also should also get as much respect as other professions do.''
